"Smooth Sailing!" .25" Stud Earring - Larimar, Sterling

The "Smooth Sailing!" Stud Earrings are 8mm of Smooth, Prong-set Larimar in Sterling. 

*These appear a bit larger than they are, due to the basket design, which also makes them look EXPENSIVE! ;) They were all hand-selected by Barb & are as closely matched as humanly possible... They're ALL GREAT! Slight variations are to be expected because they're natural & REAL! <3 

Larimar was discovered in 1914, but only mined for about 15yrs through the '70s & '80s. It's a blue Pectolite & the only stone that comes from the Caribbean Islands (Dominican Republic). It's a geological anomaly & Scientists say there'll never be any more. The gentleman whose land it was on was permitted to name it. So, he named it after his daughter, Larissa & the ocean, 'Mar' in Spanish - hence, LARIMAR!
