Necklace FAQ
How do I choose a necklace length?
16" sits at the base of the neck, like a collar or choker. 18" hits just below the collarbone and is the most popular length for pendants. 20–24" falls at or just above the neckline of most tops. 30–36" is opera length: wear it long or double it up. Every listing shows the exact length.
Can I make a long necklace shorter?
Yes! Our Enhancer Clip lets you shorten, double, or restyle long strands in seconds, so one necklace works a bunch of ways.
What metals and materials do you use?
Most necklaces are sterling silver (including anti-tarnish sterling), gold-filled, or gold over sterling, with some pieces on silk, leather, or solid 14k gold clasps. The exact materials are listed on every product page.
How do I care for pearl and gemstone necklaces?
Last on, first off: put your necklace on after perfume, hairspray, and lotion. Wipe it with a soft cloth after wearing and store it flat so strands don't stretch or tangle.
