New Zealand Paua Shell is the most colorful variety of Abalone in the world, with an iridescent nacre that features deep blues, greens and purples with flashes of pinks & gold. It is much more vibrant & rich than other varieties of abalone, which are typically, softer silvers & pinks. Sadly, it's also becoming much more difficult to get, because rising water temperatures in recent years have made it more difficult for them to reproduce. These are beautiful, natural New Zealand Paua shells & harvested pre-restriction era.
